Your Westie will appreciate a holiday in the sun, just as much as you, don't go
putting him in one of those "places", while you jet off to the sun. There
are many
diseases to be found ,no matter how good you have heard
they are. So if your packing a bathing costume, pack some extra towels for
him/her.
Some of those places might insist that your Westie has had a vaccination, but that is usually to cover themselves should there be an
outbreak there. After all they don't give any dog a medical before they are
allowed in do they ?
There are many hotels, camp sites, bed and breakfast that welcome dogs,
seek them out before you book up your next holiday, or ask a member of the
family to take care of your dog instead.
Depending on the type of holiday your going on, have a think of what your
Westie might want while your away. Take some of his toys with you to make
him feel at home, make sure you can get the same type of food that he is use
to.
Don't drink the water !.Even a change of water can upset him, so
either take a supply with you, or buy some bottle water for him, it will
probably be better than tap water, even I notice the difference travelling
around the UK, so always take ours with us :)
