Sir Edwin Henry Landseer 1802-1873 was renowned for his paintings of
dogs, which often seem to have human qualities.
Landseer profited more from selling the rights to his engravings than he
did from the actual paintings on which they were based.

One of those paintings shown here is the 1839 picture called "The
breakfast party" showing several highland terriers and a bloodhound.
