Vaccine reactions
Some dogs have a reaction to vaccine, and can suffer from aches and pains, and it might
cause them to eat less and sleep more. It is very rare to see dogs have more severe
reaction.
More severe reactions recorded like swelling of the face or vomiting is usually
prevented by giving antihistamine next time the dog is vaccinated. Leptospirosis, which is
part of the vaccine is the most likely component to produce such strong reactions.
If your Westie has had a vaccine reaction in the past, don't skip future vaccinations, but
let your vet know so he can take steps to prevent a recurrence.
